Brock University - Lutz Teutloff Collection

In 1988, German art dealer Lutz Teutloff proposed a process whereby large outdoor sculptures by internationally acclaimed artists would be loaned to Brock University. Over the next few years 12 sculptures were installed on the campus. Mr. Teutloff, who divides his time between his gallery in Bielefield, Germany and St. Catharines, chose the works with the idea that the principal viewers would be students. The University has grown around these prominent pieces and has embraced them as familiar figures. A recent publication, entitled The Lutz Teutloff Collection at Brock University: Nature, Spirit, Matter (2002) presents the works fully, with extensive photographs and scholarly essays.
